Thomas Nhat Le – New Media Marketing and Management Information Systems

Hello everyone, my name is Thomas Le and I am a 3rd year New Media Marketing and Management Information Systems, dual major. I love to read manga, watch anime, listen to music and cooking with people to share food.

About Me

I chose New Media Marketing and Management Information Systems for many reasons. I chose New Media Marketing because of all the growth in social media in the marketing world. Another reason is to learn more about all the ways to analyze the data that is being collected on us all the time. The ability to see how conversions are made through different channels and see how different sources are getting you more conversions.

I chose Management Information Systems to be able to understand the process that do into making the databases that we work with as well as more knowledge on using them. By knowing more about information systems I can then help bridge the gap between developers and the client to get the system that they need to fulfill their needs.

I have worked on several projects within my classes both in relation to market research by working with The Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley, a social media marketing plan for Kodak Alaris to expand into China, and creating some basic databases as well by working with Microsoft Access.

Goals For the Future

I would love to be able to travel around the world and try all the various cuisines that they offer. I also want to be able to open a cafe with my family. The cafe will be one that sells freshly made foods from my Vietnamese background that I learned from my mother and foods that I learn about from my travels. I want to be able to share the foods that my mother made for me and to spread more of her cooking to others.

Linda Vo – New Media Marketing

Hi everyone, my name is Linda!

I have started my college education at MCC studying Information Technology. Half way through my 2nd year, I realized that I didn’t like coding as much as I thought I did and didn’t see myself working this career in the long run. With the amount of liberal art courses on my belt, I have decided to switch into Liberal Arts and focus on the remaining 60 credits that I needed in general education to transfer to a 4-year school. I knew that I liked some aspect of the Digital world and wanted to pursue something in that field. I have stumbled across the New Media Marketing major at RIT and it’s working well so far as I’m a third year marketing student graduating in May 2020.

I have done a couple of projects in my Marketing classes. I haven’t intern at any companies yet, but that will change; hopefully in the Summer 2019 or Fall 2019. Until then, I will be stacking bananas as a produce associate at Wegmans.

On my free time, I like to take naps and watch Netflix series or movies. I also like to explore different food places as well and I’m a fan of the Marvel entertainment.

After graduation, I want a job as a Digital Marketing Specialist or a SEO Specialist in the Rochester area. In the future with the amount of experience I get in the Marketing field, I’m planning on moving somewhere that doesn’t have snow.

Franchesca Ramirez – New Media Marketing

Hi! My name is Franchesca Ramirez. I’m in my third year at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where I study New Media Marketing. I was recently transferred from National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID), earning my Associate degree in Business. I’ll be graduating in May 2020.

My birthplace was in Chicago, IL and now my hometown is Hammond, IN. I was born deaf and then had surgery for my cochlear implant at four years old. My first language is English and the second is American Sign language (ASL). When I was growing up, I have a chance to experience new things. I have taken a class for photography, Photoshop, iMovie, yearbook, international travel club and learn some web design, 3D animation & picture morphing. I had worked as a Snack Bar cashier/server, teacher aide part- time and a photographer part-time. I have won a contest for my photoshop design to use as the Indiana School for the Deaf advertisement. I did a $20 Business Challenge for my Entrepreneurship course. The challenge was to start a business using $20 out your pocket. I set up ‘Cake Kabob,’ a dessert that has four cake pop in one stick. I did it for one month and made some profit. It was an enjoyable experience to have. My hobbies are many. I like to read, draw, write, crochet, paint, and list goes on.

My objective right now is to obtain a challenging cooperative work experience/internship in a business environment that will allow me to demonstrate my technical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Available summer, 2019.

Nik Montoya – New Media Marketing

My name is Nik Montoya and I am a third year New Media Marketing and Management double major at Rochester Institute of Technology. I am in my third year of classes and have a minor in advertising and public relations.

Coming out of high school I had very little idea of what I wanted to do with my life. In fact, the reason I came to RIT was because of a friend’s suggestion to apply. After receiving my acceptance letter and doing research about the school I found that it would be a great opportunity for me to progress academically and started my first year at RIT.

During my time at RIT I have enjoyed a variety of challenges for both my majors however, some of the work that I’m most proud of includes working with a few other classmates to organize a charity event for an organization called Alyssa’s Angels, in which we raised more money than they had ever received in the organization’s history of that charity event. It felt amazing to put together the event and have it be so successful, and that feeling of fulfillment is something I strive to put into the work I conduct.

I plan on becoming a graduate student through RIT’s 4+1 program and finishing my days of study at RIT in 5 years. I want to focus more on the managing and social media aspects of marketing as these are what interest me most. My future goal is to simply enjoy wherever I work in the future. I believe that working somewhere that aligns with my interests will lead me to be a more productive worker and an overall happier person.

I’m a third-year New Media Marketing undergraduate at Rochester Institute of Technology who recently transferred from Monroe Community College. I’ve lived in Rochester all my life and honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. Being a local, I’ve taken advantage of the many opportunities Rochester can provide.

This ranges from shadowing marketing professionals in companies like Xerox and EagleView, to being the Social Media Manager and Marketing Intern for Abbott’s Frozen Custard, and now working as a Marketing Coordinator for the Student Auxiliary Services at RIT. I’ve gained a plethora of knowledge about marketing like understanding social media marketing, content creation, website design, copy writing and much more. As a Marketing Coordinator, I’m currently learning even more about social media marketing and analytics. I’ll hopefully be going on a co-op this summer to gain even more experience as I continue my education.

In the future, I hope to obtain my MBA with a concentration in analytics. I want to advance my knowledge so that I can eventually help my dream company, Southwest, create successful data driven marketing campaigns.

Emma Riggi- New Media Marketing

I’m Emma Riggi and I am currently in my last semester at RIT majoring in New Media Marketing with a minor in Communication.  I started out as a Communication major with a Marketing minor and a couple of years into my time here at RIT decided Marketing was a better major for me.  I have always been intrigued by social media and advertising, which led me to New Media Marketing.

I grew up in a small town in New York by the name of LeRoy (Jello was invented there) and it is where I have lived my entire life.  I liked growing up in a small town surrounded by family and friends and it’s also where I started my first job working at the local library.  Now, I work on campus at the Note Scanning and Scheduling Offices.

Over the summer I interned as a Marketing Assistant at the Genesee Country Village & Museum in Mumford, New York.  I got to attend quite a few of the museum’s special events, which I worked on social media calendars and posting suggestions for.  At the events I was able to post live from their social media platforms. I also did some marketing research, created press releases and developed some customer experience surveys.  It was a great experience that allowed me to work in a lot of different aspects in marketing.

I still have a class and internship to finish up before I receive my diploma over the summer, but will be walking the stage and saying goodbye to RIT in May.  After graduation I hope to find a full-time job at a social media marketing agency.

Kelly LaMon – New Media Marketing

Hey! Kelly here, a current student at the Rochester Institute of Technology from Long Island, NY. I’m in my final semester of undergrad studies, pursuing a career in digital marketing.

College has been a journey for me, to say the least. I began at SUNY Geneseo, where I completed the majority of my liberal arts coursework. In the fall of 2016, I transferred to RIT to study Dietetics and Exercise Science. A year later, I decided business was a more desirable career path, and switched to the New Media Marketing Program at Saunders. Health and fitness are still two passions of mine, reflected by my minor in Nutritional Sciences. Although my path in college hasn’t been quite straightforward or predetermined, I’ve learned an incredible amount along the way!

I gravitated towards New Media Marketing in particular due to its integration of analytics and modern-day technology with innovation and creativity. In today’s world, every business must be up to speed with digital marketing practices in order to maintain fierce competition. The opportunities in this field are quite vast, paving the way for exciting possibilities.

Along with my studies, I’ve been heavily involved on campus and with the greater Rochester community. I have held leadership positions as a sister of Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, in which I coordinated philanthropy events for ANAD, and later served as the Vice President of Programming. I have also been an active member of Irish Roar, RIT’s first and only Irish Dance club, and have danced competitively in years past. Lastly, I’ve held several on-campus jobs, including being a Marketing Assistant and currently a Recreation Attendant at RIT’s Student Life Center.

Manhattan Bridge | Dumbo, Brooklyn

Outside of RIT, I have had the privilege to intern for Rachel Aschalew, a successful real estate broker based in Brooklyn, New York. Her company, RARE, is a fusion of high-end real estate and lifestyle expertise. I helped curate reports for management, marketing content and blog articles for her website. This was my first chance to apply knowledge from Saunders in a legitimate business setting. Working in New York City was a rewarding experience – one that I hope to continue in the future.

Rachel Ferrara – Digital Marketer turned Educator

Hi there! My name is Rachel Ferrara and I’m New Media Marketing student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I’m currently in the last semester of my undergraduate career and also have a Management Information Systems minor.

Outside the Classroom

Besides spending most of my time studying, I’m also involved in a lot of on campus organizations. I’m a sister of Alpha Xi Delta, a social sorority, and I’m also a brother of the co-ed professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. When I came to college I wanted to be involved in organizations and clubs that would provide a space for me to be social, gain leadership opportunities and experiences, and contribute some good for the community. In both my sorority and fraternity I’ve found these things and more. I can’t imagine my college experience at RIT without the memories I’ve had with my brothers and sisters.

I’ve been involved in a lot of other groups on campus as well that aren’t greek. My sophomore year I worked with the New Student Orientation team as an Orientation Leader to help freshmen students adjust to life in college and at RIT. The following year, when I was a junior, I worked for Residence Life as a Resident Advisor or RA in the NRH dorm. Being an RA was by far one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in college. Seeing my residents change from day one freshmen to now sophomores is incredible. I still keep in contact with many of them even though I’m no longer their RA.

Marketer Turned Educator

Although I’ve spent my undergraduate career in pursuit of a marketing degree, after numerous co-op experiences and my experiences being involved in campus life, I’ve decided to pursue a graduate degree in Higher Education. A lot people have asked me what that degree means. Does it mean I’ll be a professor? or a Dean? Well, no. Starting out, most people with a masters in Higher Education will work in smaller positions as academic advisors, admissions personnel, or dorm directors. Student success is what’s most important to me so I hope that after getting my degree I’ll be able to work as either an academic advisor or academic coach for students. Without having those people in my own college journey, I wouldn’t be as successful as I am today. Giving back to others by being in that leadership role is the least I can do. Eventually, I would also like to be an adjunct professor, for either business or education classes depending on the university that I’m working for.

Delta Sigma Pi Initiation Day December 2017

I’m a 4th Year New Media Marketing student at the Rochester Institute of Technology with minors in Finance and Communication. I will be graduating in December 2018 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.

About Me

I am originally from Massena, New York, a small town neighboring the Canadian border. I now consider Rochester my home after moving here in the summer of 2014.  I’ve always thought it was wiser to move away from home and realize you want to move back, rather than to never leave at all. Outside the classroom, I am the president and co-captain of the RIT Roller Hockey club. I have been also a brother of a Business Fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, since freshman year. Throughout my years at RIT I have met some incredible people, been introduced to many new ideas, and grown into an aspiring business professional. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in college, I am becoming increasingly eager to see what opportunities lie ahead in the next chapter of my life.

Future Aspirations

When I first entered college, I had predominantly no idea what I wanted to accomplish in life. I now envision myself working in an environment where I will have the opportunity to surround myself with like-minded individuals to collaboratively get things done. I am still unsure which route I will take to get me there. As a result, I am exploring any and all opportunities that come my way.  Since, I have found a passion for marketing and sales. I love the person to person interactions that the two fields have to offer. I believe that building legitimate relationships with others is a key component of success in every facet of life. Eventually, I’d like to end up in the sports industry.

I am looking to expand my professional network. So please take the time to connect with me on LinkedIn and check out my resume. I have provided links to both below. If nothing else, do me a huge favor and simply click on each of the links below. It will help me a great deal with my Search Engine Marketing Analytics class.

Eric Gaspar Social Media Marketer

My name is Eric Gaspar.

Eric Gaspar

I specialize is in social media marketing and advertising which includes hands on experience with both traditional, new media marketing and analytics. I’m a 4th year New Media Marketing Major with extra courses in Film Studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Social Media Marketing Work Experience

I have experience in business planning, marketing strategizing, and providing advertising support. Furthermore, my skill set includes blogging, social media, creating ads, evaluating websites and developing strategic plans for improvement based on analytics.

Additionally, this past fall I had the opportunity to co-op with Ciredon Environmental and Safety Services, Inc. During my co-op, I met with the firm’s management team to discuss their goals and objectives. The purpose was to assess their existing business plan and marketing strategy. Upon the completion of my review, I presented the results of my analysis to the top management which showed that the firm’s strategy was exclusively focused on the use of traditional marketing methods.  As a result, I developed a marketing strategy that incorporated new media strategies. Furthermore, I recommended the firm  establish a LinkedIn profile and also improved their website. Additionally, I recommended that Ciredon develop their own safety films, blogs, podcasts and video games for training purposes. During this co-op, I demonstrated my ability to implement the skills that I have developed during my college course work.

About Me

I’m from Hamburg, NY which is a suburb of Buffalo, NY . I’m very passionate about music, film and video games. I write a blog called “The Metalizer” which covers Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music. On my blog I’ve written about albums, bands and other articles. My additional coursework at R.I.T. concentrated on Film Studies which enabled me to gain a better understanding of the film industry and effective marketing strategies in the US and abroad. Ever since I was young child, I’ve been fascinated with video games because of their competitive and strategic nature. I also enjoyed working with other players on a team in order to achieve goals and objectives. The skills and knowledge that I have learned in music, film and video games have helped me apply them to my work in new media marketing.

In conclusion, I would love to have a career that combines my passions and skills.

My story – RIT New Media Marketing Student

In my time as an RIT new media marketing student I’ve done my best to get involved with a ton of the awesome opportunities here. Here’s a bit about the journey I’ve been on since I joined the RIT community.

The RIT Newsman

the_RIT_newsman_photo

What I love about RIT is the diverse array of amazing events, clubs, and people. I’d often find myself having an absolute blast at an RIT event that I didn’t even know was happening until I walked outside my dorm room.

I wanted to find a way to bottle up those amazing experiences, in order to share them with my friends and family.

I’ve also loved YouTube since I was a kid, and after learning the basics of video production in my high school’s Broadcast Journalism club, I enlisted my friend Oscar to help me create a weekly entertainment news series about RIT.

In Fall 2017 Oscar and I partnered the series with the RIT Office of Undergraduate Admissions. We currently produce the series to advertise RIT to prospective students.

It’s been really powerful to hear people talk about how our series helped them choose RIT as the right fit for them.

You can check out The RIT Newsman here!

Afterbox

In my third year as an RIT new media marketing student, after seeing the success of the RIT Newsman series, I became obsessed with how markets either embrace or reject new products and services. The success of a company is largely determined by how that company is perceived by the public.

I also became close friends with Zack Banack, a fellow student in the Saunders College of Business. Zack started at RIT as a computer security major, and had a lot of experience working for large companies doing freelance game design and development.

Zack and I developed an idea he was working on for a mobile application that facilitated the legacy preservation process that happens when an individual dies. We designed the app to help users store their best thoughts and memories, and send them to their friends and family when the user passes away.

Afterbox was featured on the Apple Music show Planet Of The Apps in Season 1, Episode 9. From that experience, in 2017 Zack and I were offered the opportunity to be apart of the Lightspeed Venture Partners Summer Fellowship program in Palo Alto, California. Here we learned the ins and outs of what it takes to make a startup successful.

Backstory

Elementary School

Christian was born and raised in Farmingville, New York which is on Long Island. He has always been one to experience new things and explore his interests. From a young age, Christian participated in gymnastics, baseball, and basketball, but he always had a place for arts and crafts. When it came to his fifth grade yearbook, he wrote that he’d love to be a cartoonist when he grew up because he could create anything and shape an entire world of his own. He also learned at the end of elementary school that he had a knack for singing and wanted to pursue it further in middle school.

Middle School

Although he was intending to focus more on music, Christian also played football leading into middle school, however,  he didn’t enjoy it as much as he thought he might and left. When school started, Christian did what he intended to do and pursued singing throughout middle school. He joined choir and the school drama club. In his first year, Christian managed to get a solo in the show. As everyone may realize, middle school is a weird place and Christian’s “social circle” began to be established. By the end of middle school, his voice was going through a quick change and his singing was affected. He had a solo for the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), but did so poorly due to frequent register changes that he was never given a score. In high school, Christian had no interest in further pursuing music.

High School

In high school, he participated in FIRST Robotics for his freshman and sophomore year, but he realized that the organization at his school had politics that he was not interested in. He quit, got a crazy haircut, changed his style and joined track. In junior year, he was in cross country, swimming, track, student government, chess club, model united nations, and strategy and tactics club. He began to hangout less with the same people and more with new people. This allowed him to gather many social perspectives and relate more to many people. When he was meeting many new people, he came to the realization he wanted to be an engineer. To be more exact, he wanted to be an aviation and aerospace mechanical engineer. He then questioned this idea his senior year when his interest in arts and music reemerged.

Today

When Christian got to RIT, he was already contemplating his major as Engineering Exploration, but he was uncertain as to what he’ll change to. After his first semester of exploring, he switched to Marketing. He learned so much about business that he was unaware of before and it interested him. He loved strategies, business plans, economics, and even accounting interested him. Overtime, he came to the conclusion he wanted to switch to New Media Marketing. Then, since the curriculum taught very little about resources and pricing, he chose to double major in Economics. With those, he can gather a deep understanding of resources and people while he works on his start-up: Canopy.

Shakira K. Jackson, Digital Marketer with a Heart of Gold!

Hi, I’m Kira Jackson.

I’m a 4th year New Media Marketing major at Rochester Institute of Technology. I’ll be graduating May 2018 with my B.S. degree in Business Administration.

About Me…

Shakira K. Jackson New Media Marketing Student, soon to be graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Shakira k. Jackson

I’m an aspiring digital marketer who wishes to cross into the healthcare industry. At this moment you may be asking yourself, of all industries why the healthcare industry? The truth is, I really like helping people. If I had the patience and passion for it I probably would have become a doctor. But, here I am telling you why I decided to go to business school. The world of business and healthcare at times can seem cold and uncaring. I hope to show all who come in contact with my work, there is a marketer out there who has their best interest at heart.

My passion…

If you couldn’t tell from the previous paragraph I am a people person. I love to make people forget about their problems and worries. When I was 17 years old I began working in the Geriatrics & Palliative Care department at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. Our work mainly focuses on progressing the MOLST program in New York State. The MOLST program is a medical order form that tells others the patient’s medical orders for life-sustaining treatment. All health care professionals must follow these medical orders as the patient moves from one location to another, unless a physician examines the patients, reviews the orders, and changes them. Everyone assumes that when it’s there time to “kick the bucket” they can do so as they please. That’s not true in NYS, if you don’t have medial orders signed by a physician that align with your wishes you can end up dying in a place you may not have wanted to be. I’m doing all that I can to assist in marketing the MOLST form to the public, so pretty soon it will not be a reality for many elderly people.

Marketing Plans for The Future…

Currently, I plan to attend Rochester Institute of Technology, or the University of Rochester for my Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Healthcare. I plan to start my masters program 6 months – 1 year after graduating in May.

Hannah Tillson Profile PictureHi There!

My name is Hannah Tillson and I’m currently finishing my senior year studying New Media Marketing at Rochester Institute of Technology. Hannah Tillson Planning

I’ve always been a (fairly) organized person and have loved using my planner, and about a year and a half ago I turned my hobbies of graphic design and planning into a small business! I design printable planner stickers for college students and am very proud to have almost 5,000 sales in the year and a half that my store has been open. This hobby of mine has taught me so much about Adobe products, social media marketing, engaging customers, and expense tracking.

Kysa – Social Media Specialist

All About Kysa

Portrait of Kysa W
Kysa Willemsen – New Media Marketing

From a small town in Ontario, Canada named Forest, Kysa Willemsen is in her fourth year at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She is studying new media marketing with a minor in advertising and public relations. She will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in May of 2018.

Life as a Student Athlete

During Kysa’s first semester at RIT she decided to try a new sport. That is when she became a member of the RIT crew team. Since joining she has been a rower and coxswain for both the women’s and men’s teams. Practices at 6AM each morning have helped her stay on top of her studies. Even finding ways to prioritize time management when she is travelling for races. Balancing school, sports, work and a social life has proven to be difficult but she wouldn’t want to change this experience for the world. Overall, being a student athlete has taught Kysa control, motivation and flexibility.

Studying Abroad

Kysa at Big Ben
Kysa Abroad in London, England

In the spring of her third year at RIT Kysa studied in London, England at the London South Bank University. She embraced opportunities to travel and learn from cultures all around Europe. Her favourite was to enjoy locations that were off the beaten path rather than tourist-targeted locations. Unlike the American school system, academics in England were set up differently. Each course was weighted mostly on one exam or paper therefore it highlighted the fact that second-chances aren’t always available.

In the “Real World”

Since 2014 Kysa has gained experience with Sunripe Freshmarket. She helped introduce social media and online communications into the company’s marketing. In December of 2014 she ran the company’s first online promotion. This was for a buy 1 get 1 free event they hold yearly. This event was only advertised with traditional marketing platforms prior to that year. During the event that December Sunripe saw a large increase in year over year sales at a fraction of their previous marketing costs. Today, Kysa continues to manage all of Sunripe’s online communications through Facebook, Instagram, website and email. This includes promoting products and events, answering consumer questions, creating content and more. All from anywhere in the world.

Sundy He: Graduating New Media Marketing Student

Hello! My name is Sundy, and I’m a New Media Marketing student at RIT, preparing to graduate in May 2018.

My passion in new media marketing

Starting my college career undeclared allowed me to discover what I love to do. There is nothing better than being able to help someone, no matter how big or small. Marketing allows me to be creative in how I can help others find what they need. The digital world gives businesses more of a chance to learn about their consumers just as much as consumers can continue to learn about them. As a digital marketer, I strive to help businesses help their consumers through creation and curation.

I grew to love new media marketing even more as I gained more experience. I worked as an SEO Intern at LittleThings Inc, and helped manage social media for RIT’s Office of Career Services.

Find out more on Sundy He’s resume and connect with me on Sundy He’s LinkedIn profile.

More than just marketing

Aside from my passion for marketing, I love to create.Sundy He New Media Marketing student

I enjoy writing. I keep my own blog called A Grey Sunday, exploring my other passion for makeup and fashion. My Instagram @sundyheNY hosts a variety of makeup posts, with the occasional food photo because I also love food in (almost) any way, shape, or form.

I have also written for LittleThings.com, which also served to expand my skills in SEO writing. My most successful piece was about “coconut oil for acne scars,” which you can see on page 1 of the Google and Bing results! Check out my content on the Sundy He LittleThings author page.

I play around with web development here and there based on what I have learned through my coursework and in my spare time. You can see a sample of my work on Sundy’s RIT webpage.

My career goals

After graduation, I hope to continue working in SEO or social media, but I am always looking to learn more about digital marketing and advertising. I am willing to take risks and push myself to do more than I think I can do so I can become a better marketer than I was before. I want to help businesses grow, develop stronger relationships with customers, and bring more ideas to life.

About

I am a content marketer and brand strategist graduating with a degree in Digital Marketing from Rochester Institute of Technology in May 2018. A balanced left and right-brain thinker, I am constantly testing, learning and optimizing, all while applying a refined creative edge.

As a content marketer, I am a proactive agent in the areas of search engine marketing, social media, branding, content strategy, and paid advertising, I consistently stay on top of trends in the world of content marketing with an intense personal interest in food and fashion culture.

I excel at writing compelling stories, employing empathy to understand audiences, and have a penchant for all things analytical. I am adept at leading, executing and tracking the performance of demand generation campaigns across various social platforms.

Story

Hailing from Philly, I was raised by a kind, hardworking German father and a no-nonsense, but incredibly selfless, Chinese mother from who I’ve absorbed both a driven and empathic mindset.

My focus as a professional, and as a person, stems from my love of community. If I’ve learned anything throughout my college career and work experience, it’s that one must be relentless and in constant pursuit of improvement, all while continually learning and growing. In this vein, I’ve taken on freelance work as a content marketer, becoming ingrained in the surrounding community and extending what I’ve learned in the classroom into the real world.

As the Program Director for WITR 89.7, an FM radio station serving the greater Rochester area, I work alongside a team of multi-talented DJs and producers to bring lesser known music to the community.

WITR 89.7 Apple Picking
Just some radio kids apple picking.

Most recently, I’ve been assisting AVVINO, a local, high-end, contemporary restaurant with their marketing, web presence and social media, redesigning their website and converting web traffic into dinner reservations. This was a business I loved from the first water glass I filled, to the last table I wiped down. I feel fortunate that I can apply my knowledge as a digital marketer to positively impact the lives of everyone working there.

Avvino
Avvino!

To find work in a setting that promotes constant collaboration and open communication is a goal of mine. In a place like that, I can focus on growing and leading. I can work harder, better, and feel good about it.

I am always on the lookout for additional freelance opportunities to help grow small businesses, individual brands, and everything in between.

I’m currently on the job hunt, searching for a full-time digital marketing position.

How To Be A Hazard. To, uh, Yourself.

I recently started living by myself. People say that when you start living by yourself, you discover new things about yourself, like a whole wave of realizations, deep intellectual reflections etc.

Nope. Apparently THAT isn’t going to be my thing.

I seem to have a talent in finding new ways to be a hazard. To literally the only person in the house – Me.

As always, I decided to jot down my list of ‘How To Be A Hazard. To Yourself.’

Disclaimer: Imitating instances mentioned in this post may induce some serious injuries. Do not try at home. Subject has already done that for you.

  1. Leave Sharp Objects Lying Around

People who know me, know that I’m hopelessly absent-minded. Below are pictures of an incident that actually occurred. Uh, yes, I have managed to become a lot more responsible after that. Uh no, it hasn’t repeated. *looking up at the sky*

Please don’t tell my mom. Thanks.

Doing some cool stuff ‘cuz joblessness

A rare picture of subject doing work

    peek-a-boo!

Subject MAY have sat on it. That’s confidential information.
  2. Play ‘Live-Life-Dangerously’ Kind-of Games

Okay I really love this one game I invented.
    *looks at mom’s death stare*
Okay, um, this game is not cool. I repeat. Not cool at all.
    *sheepish grin*
So what you have to do is try to cut vegetables with your weaker hand. You keep trying to decrease your cutting time as the days go by.
Not that I have tried doing this multiple times, of course.
Following are pictures of a random subject attempting to play the game.
(mom, I swear, that isn’t me!)

Subject is excited to cut with her left hand!

I doubt subject focused this much in her engineering.

Subject may be rethinking life decisions.

Well, I hope you guys liked my post!
