Aditya Vastrad, MBA Finance

About me:

Hello Everyone, My name is Aditya Vastrad. I am a graduate student at Rochester Institute of Technology, doing my Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Finance. I have an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, India. Since, childhood, I have always found myself inquisitive in observing how things work. Science has turned out to be one of the subjects I love the most. My interest in the field of science particularly, Physics had continued to develop throughout my time at school. The way machines made our lives predictable and efficient resonated with my zeal and intrigued my innate curiosity. These qualities helped me to progress in my academics and finally had an opportunity to work at Helicopter Division of Hindustan Aeronautical Limited. It provided me the professional experience of working in a team with a collective goal on an unmanned aerial project. During my undergraduate, I did research project titled “Experimental study on dry sliding wear characteristics of sintered/forged plain carbon steel (Fe-1%C) with the addition of Titanium” which was presented at International Conference on Mechanical, Materials, and Manufacturing (ICMMM 2017) and was published.

Apart from academics, I am actively involved in social activities. As part of Juvenile Care, I used to teach at rural schools. I also worked as an intern in Red Cross at Bangalore involved in various camps and awareness programs. My undergraduate subjects still being fresh in my mind and the aspiration to take upfront roles in the industry for solving complex problems. I believe that a good connection between businesses and engineers are very important for a profitable and efficient future in the Industry. My adequate knowledge coupled with quality industrial exposure has fuelled my desire to study Masters in Business Administration in Finance.
