I’m a New Media Marketing student with a specialty in social media content curation, creation, and efficient team management. I additionally have knowledge on search engine optimization, consumer behavior, and brand development.
When I’m not on the job, I love hiking with my dogs, working my way through every recipe in the family cookbook, and singing with my a cappella group (which I run the marketing for).

My name is Jonathan Lewis. I am a third-year student at the College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently I am pursuing bachelor’s degrees in Management Information Systems and Marketing as well as an immersion in Psychology. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I expect to be graduating May 2020.
Growing up, I had always been exposed to technology. During my senior year of high school I co-managed a project with our technology club to design, build and program a 3D printer from scratch. The experience was overall exhilarating and quite eye-opening. Originally I sought to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and quickly realized it wasn’t for me. Almost instantly, I fell in love with the course work and possibilities that MIS and Marketing could provide and switched into my current path at the beginning of my second year.
Currently, I am a part-time student technician at the NTID Client Services here at RIT, where I am exposed to an abundance of technical issues that my ingenuity and prior experiences allow me to tackle with fruitful results. At my employment, I also have hands on experience managing and operating a complex ticketing system which organizes and sorts our clientele based on criteria such as emergency level, number of users affected and so forth.
In the classroom, I have also had my fair share of learning experiences. I have had the opportunity to design and create two simulated web businesses. I have also contributed to the design and development of an airline database that would make flying easier to micromanage and much cheaper for the customer should they choose to fly separate airline companies on connecting flights.
My short-term goal is to seek out a paid co-op position for summer 2019 in the areas of Database Development, Data Analytics, or Project Management. Long-term I am to pursue a career with a heavy emphasis in database development while also incorporating my marketing skills to hopefully acquire a project management position.
Hello everyone, my name is Thomas Le and I am a 3rd year New Media Marketing and Management Information Systems, dual major. I love to read manga, watch anime, listen to music and cooking with people to share food.
I chose New Media Marketing and Management Information Systems for many reasons. I chose New Media Marketing because of all the growth in social media in the marketing world. Another reason is to learn more about all the ways to analyze the data that is being collected on us all the time. The ability to see how conversions are made through different channels and see how different sources are getting you more conversions.
I chose Management Information Systems to be able to understand the process that do into making the databases that we work with as well as more knowledge on using them. By knowing more about information systems I can then help bridge the gap between developers and the client to get the system that they need to fulfill their needs.
I have worked on several projects within my classes both in relation to market research by working with The Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley, a social media marketing plan for Kodak Alaris to expand into China, and creating some basic databases as well by working with Microsoft Access.
Goals For the Future
I would love to be able to travel around the world and try all the various cuisines that they offer. I also want to be able to open a cafe with my family. The cafe will be one that sells freshly made foods from my Vietnamese background that I learned from my mother and foods that I learn about from my travels. I want to be able to share the foods that my mother made for me and to spread more of her cooking to others.

Fun fact about me, I am trilingual. I was born into a Spanish speaking world, until I started primary education I needed to learn English. At the age of 7 my teachers started noticing that I was behind in class and would follow classmates during activities. My parents took me to an audioligist, where I was diagnosed with hearing loss. Growing up I didnt like to be different. However, as I grew older I learned to embrace my identity and admitted myself into American Sign Language (ASL) courses. I now proudly know three languges and use this skill to build effective communication with different parties.
I have many years of experience as a Teacher’s Assistant for language access from a varied range of ages. Recently, I have assisted many Event Coordinators for special events such as weddings, birthdays, and retirement celebrations. I have also developed a love for creating flyers and advertisements for many different occasions and events using many different tools such as Photoshop and Canva. Hello everyone! My name is Shelby Sanchez, and I am a fourth-year New Media Marketing student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where I acquired the love for photography, the beach at sunset or sunrise are my favorites.
I enjoy working with the Student Life Team at RIT as the Social Media Specialist where I have enhanced my skills in my photography and videography. As the social media specialist, I have had the opportunity to cover special club events as well as informational issues at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf and at RIT. I have produced videos and photos for the Deaf club events, this helps keep our Deaf community up to date on all social and upcoming gatherings. I consider myself skilled in photography/videography and editing as my hobby. I love being creative and trying new ideas, which I have come to understand and can apply with my major. I enjoy creating videos that not only information my audience but can also be entertaining and enjoyable to watch. I have had some success with my photography, winning some awards and participating in skills competitions. I have also done some freelance photography for special occasions and events. My dream is to do more traveling and perfect my photography skills. I would like to return to Italy and explore more of Europe. Videography is one of my favorite mediums to work with because I can be most effective and creative, using different methods to film and making videos that will stand out from others, making it fun to watch and informative at the same time.
I have had the opportunity to create information videos for the Latin American Deaf Club schedule of events, as well as the Deaf Basketball Association. I enjoy being part of the Deaf Volleyball Association as a player and as a Media Coordinator. I have also been involved with the Tigerfest as Public Relations Assistant. I feel very much in my element when I am producing entertaining and illuminating videos. This is my true passion. My goal is to find a meaningful job in the Multimedia field, producing creative videos, for business, social media, or advertising. Photography is an added skill I can bring to my employer. Hello, my name is Oswaldo Rosete. I am a student at Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology. I am currently in my final semester, and expect to graduate with a bachelors degree in Web and Mobile Computing and two minors in marketing and digital business.
I’ve always known that I wanted to be involved in the information technology field, and with that goal, I found myself applying and being accepted into RIT. I was originally interested in the software engineering program offered, but I found myself gravitating towards web and mobile computing. I consider myself to be a backend developer, and have a deep interest, and experience with database development.
Currently, I am working on a web application project for RIT’s Venture Creations, where I am one of the backend/database developers. Venture creations, is RIT’s own technology business incubator, that helps startups at varying stages advance their businesses and ideas. My team, consisting of four other Rochester based developers, and two from Croatia, is working on creating a digital workflow system to replace their current paper trail version. It is definitely one of the larger projects I have taken on, but has so far provided an incredible learning experience. It is my hope, that with the completion and success of this project, that I am able to leave behind a useful and impactful contribution to RIT.
Upon graduation, I intend to work in the information technology field, with a career as a backend developer, with an emphasis on database development. It is my goal to use my experiences from previous internships and past projects, to secure a position in a software firm.
Hello! My name is Eric Peterson and I am currently a senior at RIT majoring in New Media Marketing. My road to where I am now has been quite long. I originally started my college career at Jamestown Community College studying computer science. A couple years later I transferred into RIT’s software engineering program and things didn’t turn out the way I thought they would. My love for technology is still prevalent which is why New Media Marketing was appealing to me.
My interest in marketing stemmed from my love for music. I started playing guitar over ten years ago and have been teaching myself music production and audio recording, mixing, and mastering over the last few years. As a musician, you’re in one of the most competitive markets and the way you market and brand yourself is an essential step when first trying to establish yourself. Ultimately, I want to apply the skills I learned throughout my educational career to involve myself in creative marketing strategies, ideally in the music industry. Some of the work I’m interested in would include: social media marketing, artist promotion, A&R work, event planning, and SEO work.
One of my strengths that sets me apart is my drive. I have been working various restaurant jobs since 2013 and have been working throughout my entire college career. Most notably I was a manager at a local sandwich/garbage plate shop where I learned about managing a team, handling inventory and store orders, and money handling. My past experience as founder and president of Monroe Community College Cricket Club has enabled me to expand Monroe Community College Leadership and Success chapters and its members. As a president of the club I recruited and managed a team of student leaders and executive board members to effectively plan several events on and off campus. I have planned and coordinated social, fundraising, sports, and community service activities to create a stronger community of leaders on campus. My past experiences in different fields and educational background and volunteering opportunities has always given me the opportunity to perfect my leadership skills.
In addition, during my time at MCC, I created and ran a Facebook page for American Cancer Society to help raise awareness and encourage people to participate in the Relay for Life Movement Walk. I was able to reach 652 people from the Rochester, Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and Syracuse area.

This semester, I’m involved in International Conversation Partners program managed by RIT English Language Center . The purpose of this program is to promote cross-cultural friendships and mentoring.
I have started my college education at MCC studying Information Technology. Half way through my 2nd year, I realized that I didn’t like coding as much as I thought I did and didn’t see myself working this career in the long run. With the amount of liberal art courses on my belt, I have decided to switch into Liberal Arts and focus on the remaining 60 credits that I needed in general education to transfer to a 4-year school. I knew that I liked some aspect of the Digital world and wanted to pursue something in that field. I have stumbled across the New Media Marketing major at RIT and it’s working well so far as I’m a third year marketing student graduating in May 2020.
I have done a couple of projects in my Marketing classes. I haven’t intern at any companies yet, but that will change; hopefully in the Summer 2019 or Fall 2019. Until then, I will be stacking bananas as a produce associate at Wegmans.
On my free time, I like to take naps and watch Netflix series or movies. I also like to explore different food places as well and I’m a fan of the Marvel entertainment.

Hi! My name is Franchesca Ramirez. I’m in my third year at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where I study New Media Marketing. I was recently transferred from National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID), earning my Associate degree in Business. I’ll be graduating in May 2020.
My birthplace was in Chicago, IL and now my hometown is Hammond, IN. I was born deaf and then had surgery for my cochlear implant at four years old. My first language is English and the second is American Sign language (ASL). When I was growing up, I have a chance to experience new things. I have taken a class for photography, Photoshop, iMovie, yearbook, international travel club and learn some web design, 3D animation & picture morphing. I had worked as a Snack Bar cashier/server, teacher aide part- time and a photographer part-time. I have won a contest for my photoshop design to use as the Indiana School for the Deaf advertisement. I did a $20 Business Challenge for my Entrepreneurship course. The challenge was to start a business using $20 out your pocket. I set up ‘Cake Kabob,’ a dessert that has four cake pop in one stick. I did it for one month and made some profit. It was an enjoyable experience to have. My hobbies are many. I like to read, draw, write, crochet, paint, and list goes on.
My objective right now is to obtain a challenging cooperative work experience/internship in a business environment that will allow me to demonstrate my technical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Available summer, 2019.

My name is Nik Montoya and I am a third year New Media Marketing and Management double major at Rochester Institute of Technology. I am in my third year of classes and have a minor in advertising and public relations.
Coming out of high school I had very little
idea of what I wanted to do with my life. In fact, the reason I came to RIT was
because of a friend’s suggestion to apply. After receiving my acceptance letter
and doing research about the school I found that it would be a great
opportunity for me to progress academically and started my first year at RIT.
During my time at RIT I have enjoyed a variety of challenges for both my majors however, some of the work that I’m most proud of includes working with a few other classmates to organize a charity event for an organization called Alyssa’s Angels, in which we raised more money than they had ever received in the organization’s history of that charity event. It felt amazing to put together the event and have it be so successful, and that feeling of fulfillment is something I strive to put into the work I conduct.
I plan on becoming a graduate student through
RIT’s 4+1 program and finishing my days of study at RIT in 5 years. I want to
focus more on the managing and social media aspects of marketing as these are
what interest me most. My future goal is to simply enjoy wherever I work in the

My name is Aaron Gomez. I am a junior at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where I am studying New Media Marketing and Management Information Systems. I started college looking to learn digital marketing and found I enjoyed the technology side so much I added MIS as a second major.
Besides classes, I am involved on campus with the Business and Technology Professionals club at RIT. I’m a third-year New Media Marketing undergraduate at Rochester Institute of Technology who recently transferred from Monroe Community College. I’ve lived in Rochester all my life and honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. Being a local, I’ve taken advantage of the many opportunities Rochester can provide.
This ranges from shadowing marketing professionals in companies like Xerox and EagleView, to being the Social Media Manager and Marketing Intern for Abbott’s Frozen Custard, and now working as a Marketing Coordinator for the Student Auxiliary Services at RIT. I’ve gained a plethora of knowledge about marketing like understanding social media marketing, content creation, website design, copy writing and much more. As a Marketing Coordinator, I’m currently learning even more about social media marketing and analytics. I like watching sports and I’m pursuing a job in the sports industry. More specifically I want to create social media content for a sports team. I love to create videos and graphics in my spare time as well as do some photography on the side. I’m Emma Riggi and I am currently in my last semester at RIT majoring in New Media Marketing with a minor in Communication. I started out as a Communication major with a Marketing minor and a couple of years into my time here at RIT decided Marketing was a better major for me. I have always been intrigued by social media and advertising, which led me to New Media Marketing.
I grew up in a small town in New York by the name of LeRoy (Jello was invented there) and it is where I have lived my entire life. I liked growing up in a small town surrounded by family and friends and it’s also where I started my first job working at the local library. Now, I work on campus at the Note Scanning and Scheduling Offices.
Over the summer I interned as a Marketing Assistant at the Genesee Country Village & Museum in Mumford, New York. I got to attend quite a few of the museum’s special events, which I worked on social media calendars and posting suggestions for. At the events I was able to post live from their social media platforms. I also did some marketing research, created press releases and developed some customer experience surveys. It was a great experience that allowed me to work in a lot of different aspects in marketing.
I still have a class and internship to finish up before I receive my diploma over the summer, but will be walking the stage and saying goodbye to RIT in May. After graduation I hope to find a full-time job at a social media marketing agency.

I first started my education at RIT as an engineer before
deciding that design was my true passion, so I switched to Industrial Design
and have used the breadth of the major to explore design principles like
graphic design, animation, graphical user interfaces, and web design. Throughout my design experience, I have held
leadership positions and worked with teams to push meaningful experiences and
I have had the opportunity to work for a couple firms to enhance my design skills. I first had the opportunity to work as an interaction designer for a marketing firm that creates paper pop-ups and promotional campaigns for large clients like Samsung and Apple. It was a unique experience that allowed me to work on an inter-disciplinary team to create interactive products.
Furthermore, I also have a love for fashion and technology and seek to merge my skills through the application of graphical user interface and interaction design.
As a result, I had the opportunity to work for Kate Spade
New York last summer, where I was able to work on the design team to
conceptualize and develop accessories and luxury handbags. I got to work
alongside fashion stylists and visual designers.
Thus, my education and experiences have developed my skills as a designer and pushed me to become a creative, out of box thinker. My name is Frank and I’m a design student from Syracuse, New York. I’ll graduate in May with an industrial design degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Industrial design is all about combining artistic skills, technical skills, and critical thinking to solve problems for commercial products and other physical items.
We are taught the design process and design thinking, which it turns out, can be applied to any situation, be it graphic design, user interface design, exhibit design, interior design, etc. I never really explored the other design majors or really any other kinds of design before choosing industrial design. It made me wonder for a bit there if I made the right choice. For example, this past year I became really passionate about graphic design, specifically typography and identity design. I was a little worried that my love for industrial design was fading by comparison.
As I’m nearing the end of my undergraduate design education though, I learned that design is fundamentally universal. The principles between graphic, industrial, all of them really, overlap tremendously. I realized that my love for industrial or even graphic design was really a love for visual communication. Conveying ideas through type, shape, color, texture, all of it are what I love about design, not simply just designing shoes or furniture, or magazine spreads.
That being said, I’m happy with my degree because it has allowed me the flexibility to explore as many avenues of design as I can before I graduate. I’ve had the opportunity to work in corporate and freelance settings and have grown as a designer and professional. I am excited to continue looking for full time positions in the industrial design world where I can practice my skills and explore new ones.

My name is Tyler Hatch and I am currently a fourth-year new media marketing student at Rochester Institute of Technology.
I have been a four-year member of the Men’s Varsity Soccer program at RIT and am looking to bring my natural competitive, ambitious, and hardworking personality to the sales industry after I graduate. With thorough experience creating marketing/advertising campaigns, internet and social media marketing, and professional communications, I have a very strong technical marketing background. Along with my marketing experience, I was a two-year photography major at RIT, so I am great with a camera, and I am also very experienced using Adobe Photoshop.
I am interested in going into the sales industry because all my life I have been a natural salesman without realizing it. Hey! Kelly here, a current student at the Rochester Institute of Technology from Long Island, NY. I’m in my final semester of undergrad studies, pursuing a career in digital marketing.
College has been a journey for me, to say the least. I began at SUNY Geneseo, where I completed the majority of my liberal arts coursework. In the fall of 2016, I transferred to RIT to study Dietetics and Exercise Science. A year later, I decided business was a more desirable career path, and switched to the New Media Marketing Program at Saunders. Health and fitness are still two passions of mine, reflected by my minor in Nutritional Sciences. Although my path in college hasn’t been quite straightforward or predetermined, I’ve learned an incredible amount along the way!
I gravitated towards New Media Marketing in particular due to its integration of analytics and modern-day technology with innovation and creativity. In today’s world, every business must be up to speed with digital marketing practices in order to maintain fierce competition. The opportunities in this field are quite vast, paving the way for exciting possibilities.
Along with my studies, I’ve been heavily involved on campus and with the greater Rochester community. I have held leadership positions as a sister of Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, in which I coordinated philanthropy events for ANAD, and later served as the Vice President of Programming. I have also been an active member of Irish Roar, RIT’s first and only Irish Dance club, and have danced competitively in years past. Lastly, I’ve held several on-campus jobs, including being a Marketing Assistant and currently a Recreation Attendant at RIT’s Student Life Center.
Outside of RIT, I have had the privilege to intern for Rachel Aschalew, a successful real estate broker based in Brooklyn, New York. Her company, RARE, is a fusion of high-end real estate and lifestyle expertise. I helped curate reports for management, marketing content and blog articles for her website. This was my first chance to apply knowledge from Saunders in a legitimate business setting. Working in New York City was a rewarding experience – one that I hope to continue in the future.

I started my New Media Marketing degree at RIT about a year ago and look forward to making these, “apply for graduation” emails into a reality this fall of 2019. I’ve impressed myself by remaining on Dean’s List with a massive credit load every semester and working close to full time. It’s all about surprising yourself with strengths you didn’t know you had.
The stars aligned during my second semester and I found myself completing my co-op requirement at a startup digital marketing company, created by none other than an RIT alumni. I’ve been learning from a founder that cares deeply for our clients and does not believe in delivering a sub-par product. She sets high standards for digital marketing and I feel grateful to be learning from a master of the craft, while simultaneously attending a highly regarded university–packing my brains with as much knowledge as possible!
I choose New Media Marketing for the opportunity to do a bit more micro writing and to explore the visually creative avenues built in, such as creating a stunning UI or engaging display ads. I love diving into Google Analytics to see what’s working and what needs improvement. In the age of instant gratification, we get to see the fruits of our labor quite fast–one small bonus for our distraction tortured generation.
Come graduation this Fall of 2019, I hope to have improved user experiences through my work, and to have discovered as many ways as possible to report competitive marketing gains to clients.
A heftier goal of mine is to do some lengthier writing one day, it would be an absolute dream to write a sci-fi series.

Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love craft beer. And I love wide varieties of brews: stouts, porters, wheat beers, sours, red ales, pilsners, scotch ales — even certain IPAs. The craft beer category in the US has grown swiftly in popularity in recent years, both in sales by volume and by revenue. Microbreweries have grown their production at a tremendous rate from 2004-2017, going from an annual volume of 700,000 barrels in 2004 to 5,600,000 barrels in 2017.
A culturally and economically fascinating category of craft beer is the Trappist variety. Trappist beer is produced by monks, friars, and nuns, both for their own consumption and for limited sales to finally support their abbeys. The tradition of trappist brewing dates back to the Trappist Order, a group of Benedictine (followers of the Rule of St. Benedict of Nursia) monks residing at La Trappe monastery in France, in the 17th century. This brewing came out of still earlier beer-making by Medieval monks, who did it for many of the same reasons — to maintain their economic self-sufficiency in a way that had the added benefit of contributing to goodwill among the local population and secular leaders.
Today, the International Trappist Association is the highest authority on official trappist goods, including beer. The Association recognizes thirteen trappist breweries today: 6 in Belgium, two in the Netherlands, one in Austria, one in the US, one in Italy, one in France, and one in the UK. The UK brewery, located at Mount St. Bernard Abbey, is the most recent, having opened in 2018.
The Association certifies trappist beer with the “Authentic Trappist Product” label, under the following conditions (listed from their website):
All products must be made within the immediate surroundings of the abbey;
Production must be carried out under the supervision of the monks or nuns;
Profits should be intended for the needs of the monastic community, for purposes of solidarity within the Trappist Order, or for development projects and charitable works.
The awarding of the label requires a thorough investigation by the ITA board of directors. This incldues a close look at hte production process, and the level of sales. The ITA requires certain environmentally-consious and fair labor standards, and, abbeys may not sell beer so excessively that they make profit on top of what is needed for the abbey’s maintenance and local charity. The license allowing a product to be ceritfied Trappist must be renewed every five years.
What type of beer is trappist beer?
Trappist beer comes in several varities, but is alomst always an ale rather than a lager. Ales are typically made with “top fermenting” yeast, meaning they are fermented at high temeprature, whereas lagers are made with “bottom fermenting yeast” and ferment cold.
Generally, trappist beer will be a blonde or brown ale of varying strength, but generally with low bitterness and higher fruity and sometimes spicy notes.
Rochefort categorizes their beer in strength by number. (6, 8, 10.)
More generally, abbey breweries use the term Enkel (“single”) to describe their basic and lightest recipe, typically today with an alcohol by volume of 4-6%. Dubbel is the net level up, with an alcohol by volume of 6-8%. The term refers to a brown ale at most abbeys, with the fruity and spicy notes common in many Belgian styles.
Tripel and Quadrupel are heavier, with ABV of 8-10%, and 10-13%, respectively.
The move from Enkel through to Quadrupel refers directly to the process of malting in beer production: these trappist beers are single, double, tripel, or quadrupel malted, aka, a Tripel has 3 times the malt in the wort as a “regular” or single ale. “Sweet wort” is the mashed up, seeped, and heated barley before the yeast and hops are added. Once hops are added this becomes bitter or hopped wort.
What is the best trappist beer?
That depends who you ask, but the company BelgiBeer (a Belgian craft beer mail order gift box retailer) has an authoritative list.
Note that all of these beers are Belgian in origin, so some bias may be involved. It’s also fair to note that Belgium is the home to the largest concentration of trappist breweries, and Belgian craft beer in general has a long and prestigious history, especially for the type of hearty, fruity, spicy ales most associated with abbey brewing.
Where can I buy trappist beer?
Due to the limited supply and distribution networks, trappist beer was until very recently, very hard to get a hold of as an American consumer. Some abbeys still only sell to within a few kilometers of their brewery. But some brands, such as Chimay, (from Chimay, Belgium,) are available easily online, such as at www.sauveur-biere.com. Some local beer retailers specializing in imports may also carry the more produced and sold beers like Chimay. An example of one such retailer is Beers of the World, in Henrietta, NY.
I’ve had the pleasure of taking the Beers of the World course at Rochester Institute of Technology this semester, where I learned a great depth of information about a wide range of beers, including trappist. I got to try the Chimay Blue, Red, and Tripel varieties in class, and we had an eductional video and lecture about trappist beer.
I recommend that anyone who already likes beer try one of these unique brews with such an interesting history. If you don’t like beer, I recommend you go to your local brewery and try some more varieties after a tour to learn more about the production process and what diversity of flavors are available among all the different types of this ancient and sophisicated beverage!
ABOUT ME Hi Everyone, my name is Chance Wright. I am a Digital Marketing Concentration MBA Graduate student at RIT graduating in May 2019. I did my Undergraduate degree which is a BFA in Advertising Photography at RIT as well. I am originally from a small town called BigHorn, Wyoming. I lived there until high school where I left for a boarding school in New Hampshire called Holderness School. During this time I also moved to Northern Virginia. At Holderness, I found RIT and came for the photography program, and I have been here ever since. In conjunction to school, I am also the Vice President and Co-Founder of a Non-Profit called The Shore Foundation. I have an active photography business, specializing in landscape, architecture, and nature photography. I started my own company, ATL/WYO Productions, which is a film and television production company, which I plan to run after graduation in LA. Lastly, I am a New York State firefighter in the town of Chili, NY.
THE SHORE FOUNDATION We are a certified 501(c)(3) Non-Profit in New York State. Our mission is to provide computers into the hands of those in need. Founded between myself and my roommates in the Spring of 2018, we have successfully given away ~20 computers to high school age students who were unable to purchase them themselves. We plan to attempt to set the Guinness World Record for most computers donated in 24 hours, with a mass donation event where we will give away somewhere around 500 computers. MY HOBBIES In my little free time that I do get, I do have a few hobbies which I love to do. I am a recreational skydiver and speed flyer. I skydive out west of Rochester near a town called Barre, NY. Hi everyone! It’s me, Corinna. In May of 2018 I graduated from SUNY Geneseo, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a minor in Mathematics. Currently, I am a graduate student at RIT, pursuing my MBA with a concentration in Digital Marketing. I’ll be graduating in August of 2019. I have dreams of going into Market Research. Through interning at Wegmans in their consumer research department, I gained valuable insight about decision-making on the client-side of marketing consumer products. I developed understanding of reaching the customers’ needs and creating value that is relevant to them.
The KJT Group provided me with an excellent internship experience, where I worked in a team to research various healthcare markets and provide insight to clients. I learned new skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods and helped to ensure accuracy throughout all steps of the research process.

Could I have received my undergraduate degree and immediately enter the workforce? Yes. Did I choose to do that? Nope. I am pursuing my MBA and Rochester Institute of Technology in the Saunders School of Business, which is AACSB Accredited. Through this reputable university I hope to utilize my new learnings in the career path I will begin upon graduating. I chose to stay focused and grow my education before beginning my career journey.

Experience on the Leadership Team of the International Sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon has given me the experience to coordinate teams and contribute to solving problems that face an organization overall. I was the Vice President of Programming, coordinating various community service and philanthropy events and working with the leadership team to make organization-wide decisions.
I want to work in Market Research. This is for two important reasons:
I am a natural when it comes to numbers. Math has always been my favorite subject, so much so that I made it a minor in my undergraduate program. Quantitative studies are satisfying to me, in that you can make realistic, applicable determinations based on numbers and data about consumers. I find that awesome. I hate uncertainty and market research helps bridge that gap.
I am naturally nosey. I always want to know what is going on in other people’s heads, and I think that is necessary in this field. You need to want to understand what the people want, and research helps to do just that. What do the customers want? And why? I am determined to find out.

I am a graduate student at RIT, NY pursuing Communications and Media degree. Five years back I was not even considering to be in the media industry or get a degree in such field as I was busy struggling to understand my engineering books. While I was doing my bachelors in electronics engineering (which I still don’t know how I completed) I also used to get involved in my dad’s business of PR and Media. Living in the city of Bollywood, which is Mumbai then called Bombay (India), I had a very keen interest in movies and following the trends and news happening in the entertainment industry. Being indulged in this as well as the family business of PR and Media consultancy, I developed a thought of following the path that I was interested in, which was to get in the media and entertainment industry. Having seen and done lots of events, campaigns, public relations etc. for the media and entertainment industry back at home, I thought of pursuing a master’s degree in this subject of mass media communications after doing my bachelors in engineering. It was kind of late for me to realize that engineering was not my cup of tea but as they say, “it’s never too late”. I am proud to have completed my bachelor’s in engineering though. So, after all that educational background drama in my non-film life, here I am, learning communications and marketing to work towards my goals in the media and entertainment industry.
Just like everyone, I have my own set of interests. I have enjoyed playing soccer for many years and my favorite players have been David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo. I support Manchester United and Real Madrid. Apart from my favorite sport, I like watching movies. My favorite genre is action/thriller and horror. I love to know and explore spooky/haunted things and places. Being in the United States, Halloween month has become a very interesting part of the year for me. I only listen to music genres of metal, hard rock, post-hardcore. With such a music genre, it is very difficult to find people with similar music taste. I like going to metal gigs and concerts and Bullet For My Valentine has been the most special as well as a favorite band for me.
